Special ceramics occupy a certain proportion in these fields, such as laser crystals, high temperature engineering materials and so on. However, the general ceramic materials used in the past can not meet these special performance requirements, so in the past twenty years, some refractory compound ceramic materials (compounds of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, silicon, boron, etc.) have been developed and produced in the world. They are closely related to chemical synthesis, such as liquid-solid reaction, gas-phase reaction, plasma synthesis and so on. Material, while solid-state physics is the basis for the research and development of new materials. Molecular, electronic, ion movement, defects and impurities affect material properties. Its technology is closely related to modern technology, such as hot isostatic pressing, laser processing, micro-analysis, surface analysis, fracture mechanics, etc. Boron nitride (BN) is one of the materials with good properties and rapid development. Foreign countries are known as "materials of the cosmic era". After the United States mastered the synthetic method and hot-pressing method in the late 1960s, it first entered industrial production, and now it produces hundreds of tons annually. Japan has an annual output of 24 tons, and plans to build a scale of 100 tons. Britain, Russia, Germany and France all have research production and application. Now we can produce three kinds of boron nitride ceramics and two kinds of composite materials.

  Basic structure

Boron chloride, also known as "white graphite", has a flaky hexagonal structure similar to graphite. Its theoretical density is 2.27g/cm 3 and its hardness is Mohs 2.

  Product performance

1. High heat resistance: 3000C sublimation, its strength 1800C is twice room temperature, 1500C air cooling to room temperature dozens of times does not break, 2800C in emotional gas does not soften.

2. High thermal conductivity: Hot-pressed products are 33W/m.k and pure iron-like, and above 530C are the most thermal conductive materials in ceramics.

3. Low thermal expansion coefficient: The expansion coefficient of 2*10-6 is the smallest in ceramics, which is second only to that of quartz glass. In addition, it has high thermal conductivity, so the thermal shock resistance is very good.

4. Excellent electrical properties: high temperature insulation = good, 25C is 10140-cm, 2000C can also reach 1032-cm, is the best high temperature insulation material in ceramics, breakdown voltage is 3KV/mm. Low dielectric loss, 108Hz is 2-5*10-4, dielectric constant is 4, microwave and infrared transmission.
